As humans, we experience all of our life through our 5 senses - hearing, smell, touch, sight, and taste. According to the principles of NLP, all people predominantly fall into one of three groups - Visual (sight), Auditory (hearing), or Kinesthetic (smell, taste, and touch).
What is your favorite sense?

I actually did this on a friend this past weekend, now he can “numb” any part of his body to not feel “discomfort”. Here is how its done quickly.
1) Explain what you will do to them and define anesthetize.
2) Put the client into somnambulism.
3) Do the arm pinch pain anesthetic test. When the person is in somnambulism say this:
You can feel me working on your arm (touch/rub arm) but you wont feel any discomfort whatsoever (and pinch as hard as you can in the area you touched/rubbed)
If the person doesn’t react then they are in somnambulism!

The hypnosis practice session was postponed last weekend because I was sick to today. This was the first time I actually tried to put someone into a deep hypnotic trance.
I started off with the Elman induction but we couldn’t stop laughing - stupid things. Whenever I’d say something wrong or stutter, we’d laugh. Whenever I couldn’t remember the exact script, I made something up and it ends up being funny. For example, when we started counting down for the mental relaxation, I couldn’t remember what I should say about “them” so I ended up making my own metaphor and said “Just throw them out the window” ending up in us cracking up. For those you want to start to learn the basics of NLP, check out NLP Weekly’s NLP Basics Articles. They are a great place to start your research. I also recommend checking out their forums.
Myself, the weather has been great in my area so I’ve been playing hockey a lot. I also gave a friend who wants to learn hypnosis my Gerald Kein videos and we will be practicing hypnosis on each other on the weekend. Hopefully this will lead to some videos.
Lucid Dreaming is Awesome

So I had my first “real” lucid dream today. I’ve had two before (several months back) but they only lasted a few seconds and I didn’t get a chance to do anything cool. Today though, after a long day of skiing, I was knocked out cold at 9:00pm. I didn’t even have time to give myself the suggestion of “I will remember my dream” or “I will check for reality”.
This was also a very very weird dream start. I remember having a dream and then pausing it. I dream mostly in 3rd person and this dream was third person. I paused a mountain scene (which most probably came from the fact that I wam skiing in large Vermont mountains). I said to myself “I don’t want a lucid dream in 3rd person” and BAM, I see the mountain in first person.
