Continuation of Understand You Mind - Part 1
So now that you understand the basics of the mind and how each one functions, its time to relate this to hypnosis.
As mentioned in Part 1, there is something called the critical factor that is located in the conscience part of your mind. This critical factor’s job is to deflect any unwanted suggestions from entering the subconscience’s permanent memory. It takes in everything we say, if it thinks that its a viable suggestion, it passes it down to the subconscience. More often than not, the critical factor just throws aside our suggestions. A hypnotists job is to get around this critical factor and speak to the subconscience directly.
Speeding Up Hair Growth

This question came from Aldo who asked a hypnosis question
“Under the effects of Hypnosis: Is it possible to influence one’s subconscience to speed up facial hair growth in order to obtain a decently mature-looking beard (i.e. a 5-o’-clock shadow, minimum)? Any suggestions on introducing this worry to the hypnotherapist (or doctor specialized in this practice)? Is it possible to achieve this by means of self-hypnosis? And if so, how?“

To really be successful at hypnosis and NLP, you really need to understand how your mind and body work and how they are connected. I personally believe everyone should know this information since it changes your perspective on reality, dreams, and life.
Everything you see, feel, hear, smell, and taste gets processed through your brain. Now you may have known that but really think about it. You experience life through your senses. Since all of your senses go into your brain, your whole existence is processed through your mind.
Ice doesn’t feel cold because its cold. It is cold because your brain tells you its cold. If you re-pattern your mind to say that ice is warm, ice will be warm [which is possible with neurohypnotic re-patterning].

I’ve been watching and learning a lot over the last several days. I’ve also been browsing the web and it seems like many people have very specific questions about hypnosis and NLP.
To tend to these specific questions, I’ve created an Ask A Question section to the blog. There you can ask me any question related to hypnosis or NLP and I’ll do my best to research the topic.
